More summer fun!

Just a week ago we made a trip north to see my Great-Grandma Arline one more time before my sister arrives. I am such a mover now that I didn't sit on her lap, but we played with her kitty and I smiled a lot. It made her day!
Here are a few pics of me being a big girl... feeding myself oatmeal! That is the only way I will eat it anymore. I am getting pretty good with the spoon. I mostly like to dip it in and out of the bowl - I haven't mastered the scooping part yet. But just wait!

The other night my cousins Emily and Ashley came over to stay the night. Above is a picture of me using the blue pump for their blow up matress sleeping bags. Too bad the picture isn't animated... it looked like I was practicing my CPR when I would pump it up and down. Below is a picture of me in mom's jacuzi tub - with bubbles. The twins were in there too but wouldn't look up for a picture. We had so much fun that night!

Summer fun!

So much has kept me very busy over the last week or so. First it was the Fourth of July - mom and dad took me to the parade in town. I sat in my stroller and watched with such seriousness at the floats going by. Eventually I started to wave back at those people. Then at noon it was over to the races. I had to compete against 2 year olds (which wasn't very fair) but at least I crossed the finish line. Next year will be better.
That night, I was trying to run on the back patio and fell, hitting my mouth on my Elmo sprinker Aunt Kristi gave me (you will be receiving the pain and suffering bill soon Auntie! heehee) and cut my tongue with my front teeth. You can see the little gash in my mouth near the tip of my tongue. I cried hard but mom and dad stayed cool despite all the blood. Needless to say this is my worst accident to date. So with a hurt mouth and the loud fireworks, I didn't get much sleep that night. Hopefully next year I can stay up to watch.

Just last week my Grandma Wylene and mom drove me 5 hours south to Medford where I got to stay with my relatives Diane & Dennis. I was quite the excellent traveler - not fussing hardly at all. We spent 3 days in their pool - it was so fun! We ate lots, stayed up late, and played all day. It was very relaxing for my mom since I think she needs her R & R before my sister comes in a month.

Then finally I invited Sydney over for a play date. We interacted more this time and even fought over the same book.
But then I shared and it was ok. We hung out in my castle for a while too. Boy - what a busy week!

Cleaning Crew

I am almost 15 months old and really picking up on what my parents do around the house. If I see them do it, I try it too. I see daddy on the floor wiping up so I will go to the drawer where mom's dish rags are and get one out. Then wipe, wipe, wipe!

I also like to help sweep - but the broom my dad uses is a bit too big. I need one my size so I can help. I help mom with taking laundry out of the dryer and help hand her items to fold. I am becoming such a good helper!

My next favorite thing is to roll around on Gourmet's bed... which my parents hate because then I am covered in dog hair. But I like to be "pet rolled" as mom calls it. She takes to lint roller and gets all the dog hair off - I like to try to get her too!
