Play Date

My mom and her friend Danielle decided it was time to have a second play date. So Danielle brought her 10 month old daughter Sydney over to our house to play. We had a great time (I think the parents had more fun!) Syd and I looked at each other a lot and played near each other but not really "with" each other. I crawled around to show her how it's done. Her mom was hoping she'd follow suit. Sydney wasn't as interested in showing off like I was. I even wacked Sydney in the head... all I was doing was trying to show her how much I like my remote control! But the cool thing was that she didn't cry. She is tough like me. But mom took away the toy. Oh well. I can't wait to play with her again... next time will be at her house!

Life after the holidays

I wish I could say that things are back to normal after all the holiday fun, but that just wouldn't be true. After school started, more snow came. Mom and Dad missed a few days of work and went several half days too. But I didn't mind too much. I got to stay home with them and play. But during that time, I caught a cold and then it turned into an ear infection. It was no fun. I cried a lot at night so no one in our house got to sleep. Not even Gourmet. But since then, things are better. I am taking my drugs and feeling much better. I got to go to one of Daddy's games Friday night and I even did a sleep over at Grandma Wylene and Papa Mike's house last night so my parents could have what they call "date night".
Besides all that, I am trying new things. I love to feed myself finger foods. My favorites are cheese, cheerios, bananas, and these biscuit things. I am crawing everywhere and when my parents aren't fast enough, I crawl over to Gourmet's water bowl and dump it over. I am also pulling myself up using the furniture and trying to stand on my feet. I haven't figured it out quite yet. I tend to fall over a lot still. But I am getting tough. It takes a lot to make me cry!
I also still love my time in the bath. I sit in this cool chair so I can grab my toys. Now that I am getting more hair, mom likes to spike it up. Look at me!

New, new, new!

Since this holiday break, there have been many new developments in our house. First, I really got into the Christmas spirit... opening gifts, sleeping in each morning, eating mashed potatoes while everyone else ate the big meals, etc. It was so much fun!
Second, I am officially crawling... all over the place! Life as mom and dad knew it is over - again. They have to keep an eye on me every waking moment. And now there is talk about gates to keep me enclosed in places. But I will figure out how to trick them all. Watch out Gourmet, here I come!

I also found out a new development in our family... I am going to be a big sister come August! I am so excited to have a playmate on the way. Boy or girl, doesn't matter. What fun we will have. I will get to teach him or her everything. And I have heard to word "share" a few times... not sure what that means, but it doesn't sound too bad.
