My baptism

I had the greatest weekend ever! Grandpa and Grandma Kloke came down to see me as well as Uncle Neal and Aunt Kristi. They were here for my baptism at St. Rose. After the baptism we had a big BBQ with all the family, friends, and godparents. I am certainly a very lucky girl... there were about 20 people here! It was hot, but fun.

My newest interest is the singing bear Grandma brought back for me when she visited the east coast. It sings a lullaby and I use it to entertain me while I get my clothes and diapers changed.

Summer fun!

I went to my first concert at Lake Sacajawea this past Thursday. We heard The Cheeseburgers sing Jimmy Buffet music. It was hot, but fun. My cousins danced while I napped and then we played together... as much as a 3 month old can play with 2 year olds.
I also had to go to the doctor Friday for a little bowel movement problem. I am now on apple prune juice to help me. But the fun part was finding out my height and weight again. I am 25 inches long and weigh 13 lbs. 6 oz.! I am getting bigger by the minute!

My favorite thing to do now, when it isn't too hot, is to rock in the rocking chair on our front porch. I can see mommy's flowers and watch our flag blow in the wind. Mommy and I are having a great time!

Discovering new things...

So much has happened since I last made an entry. I made my first trip to visit the Kloke's in Anacortes... and they had a BBQ just for me! I met more family and some of my daddy's friends. I saw Uncle Neal's office and new house in Bellingham. Unfortunately, with everything going on during those 4 days, not many pictures were taken. Only the one above with Uncle Neal feeding me. Oh well... I know my parents are very busy.
Dad and I got to spend some quality time together last week while mommy was gone during the day to a workshop for work. I gave him a run for his money, but he did great.
I am starting to get into a "routine" as my parents call it. I wake up between 6 and 7 in the morning, eat a big bottle, and play for a while. I have discovered my hands and love to look at them and put my fist in my mouth. I also like to rip off the toys from my play mat and chew on them. Then I take a nap - sometimes long, sometimes short. But from there on, I am not predictable. Sometimes I play, sometimes I cry, sometimes I nap. But when evening rolls around, I look forward to my bath and night time bottle. Then I sleep for about 8 or 9 hours. Mom and Dad say I need to refine this routine... establish more predictability so my babysitter Irene has a little easier time with me...we will see who wins out!

Happy 4th of July!

I had a great 4th of July, for my first one. Aunt Kristi came down to visit and we went to the Lake for the festivities. My cousins got their faces painted and ran in the races. Mommy pushed me in my stroller and I heard many ohhs and ahhs as people saw me. I also dressed up in my red, white, and blue outfit to celebrate. The fireworks didn't scare me either, like it did Gourmet. I slept right through it all.
