Adjusting to a new life.

Life with a new sister takes some getting used to - but I am adjusting. Mom still spends lots of time with me. Here we are having tea with my new tea set.
Dad lets me help feed Gourmet now too. I like to get down close and watch her eat it - she eats really fast like me.
I guess Kaitlyn isn't so bad. I have been more interested in her and like when we both can sit with dad. I still get sad when she cries, but know that mom or dad will help her.

I am a big sister!!

My sister, Kaitlyn Jean, finally arrived Monday evening. (She has her own blog too - so far not too much sharing!) I went to see her in the hospital the two days mom had to stay there. The first day I wasn't too impressed - I didn't like seeing mom hold anything but me. But the second day I figured I would give the big sister thing a whirl. She isn't too bad. I don't like to hear her cry though... it makes me a little upset. Good thing she doesn't do it very often yet!
One nice thing about having a sister at home are the presents I get. Here I am pretending to eat from my spoon that goes with the tea party set Grandma Carolyn gave me. I also got a pink monkey from Aunt Wanda that I sleep with now. And I hear rumors that Aunt Kristi has a little something for me too! Maybe this could be a fun... or maybe not!

Beach fun!

Dad took me to the beach the other day... but it was a bit tramatic. Grandpa Dal scared me with his hat and sunglasses so I cried all the way there. Mom and Grandma Carolyn were at the doctor for mom's check-up. (I think my sister will be arriving any day now!) But once I got to the beach, I perked up a little. Mom said they she and Dad will take me again this week. Maybe we can build a castle!
Here I am calling for Mom before Gram and Gramps leave. Mama is my favorite word. I can also say "dada", "hi", "bear", "more","papa", "baby", and now "doggie". I try to say ball and thank you but they don't come out very well quite yet. But I sure know how to shake my head NO when I don't want something!!!
