Christmas is coming!

I am so excited for Christmas! My daddy's side of the family are coming down on the 22nd to stay for the holiday. We will have a houseful, but I love that we will get to spend so much time together. Mom and dad have been busy getting things ready. Christmas decorations, cleaning, shopping... you know. I spend a lot of time in my walker chasing after them and yelling so they don't foget to play with me too! My favorite game is to chase Gourmet. She runs from me and I squeal in delight. Sometimes I sneak up on her and run into the back of her legs... boy does she scurry away. I just smile and laugh. Sometimes Gourmet will lay by me so i can pet her. And once in a while she gives me a wet kiss!

I traveled to Seattle this past weekend to the annual Christmas crab feed my dad's side of the family does. It was fun. I met my cousins Nick, Jack, and new baby Alyssa. I also got to see Avery again. It was fun watching them run around and play. Too bad my parents let the batteries run out in the camera... we missed out on some great photo ops!

I am almost crawling... I can get up on my hands and knees and rock. I even take one hand and put it out in front of me, but then I roll onto my butt and call it good. That doesn't mean that I can't get around though. I am getting good at scooting and rolling to get where I want to go. Mom and dad really have to start watching me closer. I also like to pull myself up on my knees and grab things. Sometimes I fall, but that doesn't stop me! I am sure that I will be crawling before the holiday break is over. I have been saving it for my parents to see!

Santa Encounter

I met my first Santa last Sunday. My mom took me to a party at this cool store called Totally Crazed... it's a place where you can paint your own pottery to be fired. I got to feel some cold purple paint on the bottom of my foot - then I got to squish my foot on a tile. It will hang in my room when it's done. Anyway, back to this Santa guy... I didn't cry like some of the other kids. But I wouldn't exactly smile either. I am not fond of pictures anymore after mom zipped my chest skin into my coat the other day before pictures. I forgave her, but still have bad memories about the whole thing. Santa and I played peek-a-boo and I watched my cousins paint their tiles. Overall, it was a great afternoon!

Snow day!

This past week school was cancelled due to snow so Mom and Dad stayed home with me. Mom took me outside to see the white stuff... it was so cold! But I still enjoyed it. Then I think Dad was bored so he found the antlers that Gourmet wore last year and thought it would be funny to put them on me. What do you think????
