Growing Up

I am 6 weeks old today and growing like crazy. I go to the doctor for a check-up in 2 weeks... Mom is anxious to see how much I have grown. Everyone says I look really healthy. I am starting to take a bottle some and as you can see, I can hold it all by myself. I am starting to smile more and make cooing sounds. But when I see the camera, I fake like I forgot how.
I love to sit in my swing now, but not to swing. I look at the mirror above my and the ducks that go round. I get excited, kick my feet, and the swing moves. I can do it myself!

Memorial Day Weekend

This weekend was a big one for me. Friday night I went to the UW vs. WSU baseball game to see my Uncle Reese's team beat UW. (YEAH!) And I also met my Uncle Tyler for the first time too. But I don't remember much because I slept through it all, even the cheering! I stayed in a hotel with Mom and Dad and then met my Great-Grandma Stone for the first time on Saturday. She showed me off to all her friends. I had a great time.
Then on Monday, I went to another baseball game in town. There were so many other babies there too! I think more people were watching all of us instead of watching LCC play. I am getting to be a pro at watching sports... I am off to another game with Mom today. But this time Dad is playing. It is the annual softball game between seniors and staff at Mark Morris. I will be playing in it in about 18 years. Will Dad be too old for it by then??? :-)

Bad Eye

Mommy had to take me back to the doctor today. As you can see, I have an infected eye. It looks like I got punched in the eye! But Dr. Copeland says with a little medicine, I will start to look like myself again. I hope so because I will be traveling to Seattle this weekend to meet my Uncle Reese and watch him pitch against the Huskies. (Go COUGS!) And I get to meet my great-grandma Arline too. I want to look my best (see below)!

Carnival Shots??

I swear, my parents are camera happy!!! Every time I turn around, the camera is flashing in my face. And some pictures are always better than others. Here are two examples of "bad" photos. It looks like I am looking in one of the mirrors from a carnival, doesn't it!
But the good news is I got my first professional photos taken last Saturday and they were so cute! My eyes were wide open and I even held my head up by myself! Just wait until you see them. Maybe I can be the next America's Top Model!

Mother's Day

My first Mother's Day was really fun! Mommy took me to the LCC baseball game. It was really hot so we didn't stay too long. But I know being in the sun was what she wanted. Daddy and I also got her a nice card (I saw tears in her eyes) and a statue of a mom rocking her baby. I think she liked it! Then we came home and took a nap together. I like falling asleep with her. We keep each other warm.
I am also learning to smile... you can see a part of a smile in the picture. Pretty soon I will be all smiles!

The Kloke's Visit

My Grandma Carolyn and Grandpa Dallas came to visit again this week. It was good to see them... I wish they lived closer so I could see them more. But it's about quality time rather than quantity, right?
I also got my first try at a bottle with Dad while Mom slipped out of the house for a while. I think she needed a break. I did pretty good, but those bottles leak out so fast! I ended up with more food on me than in my belly.

First BBQ

Today I went to my first BBQ at Grandma Wylene & Papa Mike's house. My cousins Emily & Ashley were there keeping things interesting. Most of my aunts and uncles were there too. It was fun, but I was sleepy and slept most of the time. I hear the food was good too. I will find out later!

First Bath

Yesterday I got my first bath. Dad filmed and took pictures while Grandma Carolyn and Mommy did the dirty work. I liked it a lot! The warm water poured over my body and I smelled great when it was all done. I think I could get used to them.

Just Chilling Out

I am officially 15 days olds today. I went for my 2 week check-up with Dr. Copeland and he said I am doing great... but did anyone expect less of me? I now weigh 9 lbs. 3 1/2 oz. and have grown almost two inches in these two weeks. Mom could tell I was growing with all the eating I'm doing. I am enjoying the sun during the daytime and sleeping good at night to give Mom and Dad a rest. But my favorite thing to do is snuggle with Dad when he comes home from work.
