I'm walking!!!

It is official... I am walking. After Mom and Dad made me practice everyday, I feel confident enough now to take off on my own. I can go about 10 steps before teetering and falling to my rear. But I still crawl some because I can get places faster that way.

My newest crazy is to get Gourmet. She runs from me, but when I can get to her, I pat her on the head, snout, back, wherever I can! Sometimes I try to hug her but she takes off and down I go. It is a fun game.

With the hot weather lately, I have been sporting some of my new clothes. I wear those skirt things that have shorts built in. Don't I look cute!!!

One year excitement!

Since my birthday, I have done some pretty cool things. I am trying new foods all the time (all love them all), playing with my friend Sydney (we can now interact more), and simply advancing faster than my parents can believe.

I took 3 steps a couple of times all by myself yesterday when Sydney came to visit. Mom thinks I was just showing off. But I am ready.

I am really into books right now too. Dad reads to me in the afternoon the book titled "I love my daddy because...", and Mom reads me the Inchworm book right before bed. I no longer take a bottle before bed so we read and rock and then I put myself to sleep. I have gotten really good at it.

Since the weather is nicer, I like to protect my eyes from the sun. Although most of the time the glasses come off and I stick it in my mouth. But don't I look cool for a bit???!!!

Mom and I are still going swimming twice a week. I am really liking it now. I used to scream when we would sing the Humpty Dumpty song, but now I smile and love it! Mom is signing me up again for the next series right away. Maybe I will get over this separation anxiety long enough to give mom a break from the pool and let daddy take me. But we'll see!
