Thanksgiving Fun

Turkey day has come and gone. What a joy it was to be able to spend so much time with my family!

This Thanksgiving we went to Anacortes... it was a long trip but I was a trooper! Riding in the car for hours isn't so bad. I got to sample some mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes for dinner with everyone else. They were both so yummy! Grandma Carolyn is a good cook.

I am really starting to eat more solids. I love these things called Cheerios. I am mastering picking them up and putting them into my mouth all by myself. And Gourmet loves the ones I drop, so I try to drop a few now and then. If you look close, you can see the Cheerio in my mouth. I love to pose for the camera!

Look at me grow!

Yesterday I went for my 6 month check-up with my favorite doctor. I now weigh just shy of 17 lbs. and am just over 27 inches!!! That puts me in the 80 to 90 percentile for both. (Of course everyone knew I was an overachiever from day one!) I also had to get more vaccination shots, but I didn't let them get me down! I am still all smiles! Plus, I heard the doctor say that I can start eacting even more solids... like trying foods my parents eat. I can't hardly wait. Their food always looks so good. Mashed potatoes, here I come!

A couple of weekends ago my cousins came over for an entire morning. We played, ate breakfast and lunch, and watched Shrek 2 together. After a while I wasn't as fascinated with them. As you can see the expression on my face... GGGRRRR!!! Leave me alone - I am trying to jump here! And I heard my mom say to Aunt Lora that they are invited soon for a sleep over. Is she nuts???

Happy Halloween!!

My first Halloween has come and gone... and what a blast! I liked all the festivities, but not too sure about the costume part. I refused to smile when Mom put the bulky Monkey suit on me. But loved watching my cousins Emily (the princess) and Ashley (the witch) say "Trick or Treat" at the Street of Screams in our local mall. I also stopped at Papa Mike and Grandma Wylene's to say my first Trick or Treat. They gave me candy, but I think my parents ate it!! Just wait until I really understand what is going on!
