Silly times...

In this last week before mom heads back to work, she and I and my sis have been doing some fun and silly things. Here I am at the Children's Hands On Museum in Olympia. Mom met her friend Lena and I got to meet her kids and play. It was a great day. I even got to do arts and crafts with some volunteer 6th graders. Of course I am not smiling, but I did have fun.
When I want to wear certain shoes, you can guess the rest. Don't I look good in white dress shoes and no pants???
My favorite silly thing is to run around naked. I say "nakie!" and take my clothes off. Then I find bags and blankies and what not to put on my head. My sister thinks I'm crazy.
And finally, I crammed myself into a papmers box to eat my snack. It was a tight fit, but I got laughs from mom and dad. Being almost 22 months old is a blast!!

Play time!

Ashley and Emily came over the other weekend and we played "tea party". Emily sat at the table with me and Ashley served us tea. It was so much fun!
Now that I am getting older, it is easier to play with them - we like the same games.
I wanted to show off my flexibility... that big toe tastes interesting!
My sister's godmother Julie came home from a year in Australia and brought us back this koala bear hand puppet. At first, I told her to take it back. But after a few days, I really love it! I put my hand in it and play with Kaitlyn.
Then dad attacks me with it and I love that! I am so glad to be rid of that flu bug. Now I can play like I used to - giggles and all!

Playing around

Since Christmas is over, we have been laying low and trying out my new toys. Mom loves to get down on the floor with us and play - especially when Kaitlyn is doing her tummy time.
I have become a creative artist and love my easel. I put stickers on it, use pencil, crayons, and even ink pens when mom lets me.
My latest idea of fun is to crawl up into the computer chair when no one is looking and start typing away. Mom thought it was cute and took pictures, then heard the printer start up. I guess with all my clicking and typing, I printed something from the internet that was 30 pages long. Then mom didn't think it was so cute anymore. Needless to say, I can't type away anymore.
My friend Sydney came over for a playdate and we played "together" more so than ever. I shared my toys, although it was a little hard. I pushed her once just to remind her it was my house, but then we got along fine.
We even had lunch together at the big table. Yummy cheese and crackers and meat. Since I love cheese and Sydney loves meat, we traded and scarfed it down. Thanks for the grub mom!

Christmas time!

Waiting around for Christmas was hard, but dad found ways to keep me entertained. Here we are showing off our hats. I like to imitate just about everything I see and hear. When dad has his hat on, I yell "hat" and wear mine too.

I left Santa a cookie and milk with a note this year. When I woke up the next morning, half the cookie was gone, the milk completely gone, and a picture of Santa himself was left signed by the big guy. Plus some cool gifts too.
Then it was present time and boy was I excited! At first, I just wanted to pass out gifts but then when I realized you get to rip into the paper, I wanted to rip them all. I went to 3 Christmas parties so by the time the 3rd one rolled around, my gifts were "mine" and everyone elses gifts were "mine" too. (I am really good at saying the word "mine".)
See how well I can rip into them? I got clothes and a few toys. My sister got some neat things, which are now mine as well.
Mom and I made dessert to take for our dinner. I sampled every layer of the chocolate dessert. I can now say "lick" and everytime I see mom with a spatuala, I yell "lick" whether it is something good or not.
Chocolate overdose. :) I love the holidays!

Holiday fun

It is almost my second Christmas so this year I got to help decorate the tree. Dad was at work so mom and I had a lot of work to do. She hung the heavy breakable ones while I handled the others. These snowflakes are cool! Now that I know how to put them on, I like to take them off and put them on over and over.
Grandma and Grandpa Kloke came to visit for a few days. Grandpa and I had a lot of bonding time on our walks. We bundle up with coat, hat, gloves, the works! He doesn't mind that I go slow and walk into every driveway and pick up every rock along the way. And Gourmet likes my slow pace too!
For the holidays I have been very into drawing and coloring. I say the word "paper" and get into my booster seat at the table and mom gets my stuff. I draw and color and put stickers in all kinds of places! Grandpa helped me create a Christmas tree masterpiece with colors and stickers for ornaments.
Yesterday was the most fun for arts and crafts. I went to the shop Totally Crazed where I got to paint my own ceramic tile. Last year I only got to do a footprint on the tile - it felt funny to have the bottom of my foot covered in paint! (My sister had to do that this year.)
I love to say the word "yellow" so most of the color on my tile is yellow. But mom suggested I do blue, red, green, and a little purple. That way it is colorful. Can't wait to pick it up after it is fired!
Did I mention Santa was there too? I refused to sit on his lap, or even stand by him for that matter. If I wanted to go around the table, I went all the way to the other end of the store - I wasn't getting near that bearded fellow! So mom didn't get a picture of me and him this year like last year. Maybe in the future I will try it again.

Party girl

For Thanksgiving this year, I went to my Grandpa Tom and Grandma Sheri's house for a great feast. Besides the food and desserts, I loved playing with my cousins and my grandpa's cats. I said "meow" about 100 times and tried to find the cats. But I think I scared them... when I first saw them move, I screamed so loud that all 3 of them hid in the basement the rest of the night.
So I decided to color and draw instead.
Then on Saturday, my cousins turned 4 years old. We went to this fun place that had a huge climbing thing but I was too scared to try it. So mom introduced me to Skeeball. I could almost throw the ball up the ramp, overhand. (I guess underhand is the correct technique.) But it was fun anyway. Mom helped me get it into the score slots.
"CHEESE!" - That is how I smile for the camera.
I did find a smaller version of the climbing thing that was right up my alley. I loved it. Maybe when I am older, I can have my birthday party there with all my friends.
